1934 Inverness
I'm collecting some bits and pieces about Inverness in 1934. I've also got a Loch Ness Archive because of course that's why I'm interested. There are details on the town, photos, weather reports, newspapers, some business information, society and culture locally and nationally. Also some very specific stuff like typewriters in 1934. A work in progress.
General info from Wikipedia: Inverness, 1934, and 1933 for good measure. Inverness Local History forum and Inverness Civic Trust which has lots of old pictures. The invaluable Victorian Web is a little early but has a Highland collection. Much of which would still be around in 1934.

The typewriters I found are more on the American side so it needs more research or to just be vague. I was also focussing more on the portables. But for a general idea...
