August 2025 monthlog
August has been nicely busy but is starting to get a bit grey and rainy.
Updates here
- 21 blog posts.
- I've been trying to write more about stuff I care about and I think it's been nice.
- I've only used six images but I've added alt text to them.
- external links now show they are external links. I'm not wild about the details but it's better than nothing.
- changing the headings styles to things I will actually use!
- wrote a links post, which was fun.
Progresses elsewhere
- wrote about project progresses. Slow but steady on Marianne North and the spare room.
- came up with a zine concept that really tickled me and worked on that.
- chair reupholstery is no more. New chairs have been purchased. Try again next summer.
- game days have been good. Played a bit of Daggerheart.
- pickled and otherwise prepared for storage over nine kilograms of onions.
- did a pretty minimal amount of reading, writing, French, and other learning. There was a lot more tidying and hosting.
- went camping in the back garden then in a forest, to the cinema with a five-year-old who talked all the way through, to a fete, on some mini-adventures, to crazy golf with a crazy child, to an outdoor Pride and Prejudice show.
Aims for September
- try to ignore it being autumn.
- try to do better at projects.
This month's favourites
Because I want to get better at finding new music and books and stuff I thought I should share music and books and stuff I've found? The problem is just a list isn't very helpful but I'm not good at explaining music / books / stuff. So here's a list anyway:
♫ East Coast - Haffway, Sister - Dorsal Fins, Collided - Brooke Annibale, Blue Moon - Kendal Johansson, Cover Your Tracks - Young Galaxy, Backwards Directions - Abbey Sage, Late Night - Marten Lou x Foals, as long as I'm lost with you - the great stoyan duo.
