Breaking my own rules
This last week was not the greatest. The weather was grey. I felt sluggish and unproductive. I can't fully blame the weather though. I'd been slacking on some stuff. Waiting until I "felt better." Which ignores one of my main rules: mood follows action. There are other rules but I have to actually follow them.
Then on Friday I spent most of the day in the garden. Listened to a book, to the birds, to music. Stroked a cat, had conversations with a cat. Got dirty, got scratched up by brambles. Ate fresh picked salad. Drank lots of water. And I felt great! When I follow the rules I feel better. Who would have thought!
The rules are not complicated but they do not always feel easy. Recommendations for the smooth running of my mind and body.
