So much I want to do!

write more about books I'm reading
work on some themes for all this, I'm thinking my 'creativity and curiosity' and 'trying new things and doing more stuff' ideas from last year
keep developing more pages in a digital garden sense rather than just the blog
write up some personal canon type things

Personal, home, family stuff:

for some reason there's a desire for the fam to go to a monster truck rally? My brother and my wife are planning this? I don't know?
swim event in the Lakes
already thinking about fun summer parties
maybe I will actually renew my passport and leave the country for the first time in fourteen years?
take portraits of the niblings. They are all of them absolute gremlins in front of a camera
my wife and I could do a team sport. I've been looking at pickleball. Or barely-sport like pinball. We'd also like to go canoeing again
do more stuff in my local community. Keeping an eye on events and goings on
dig out The Mound of excess soil in the garden. Put up the bird feeder

Learning, reading, projects stuff:

big reads of the Emily Wilson translation of The Iliad, and Middlemarch
cloudspotting
old school photography stuff. Think I'll start with cyanotypes. Work my way through the history
basic electronics. Which I know nothing about
I've got to do something new about my French because I just coasted through 2025 which is not helpful
also my French Revolution reading list and Modernism reading list / project
finish the Marianne North Recollections project

Games:

go to the boardgame cafe, perhaps regularly
work on my ttrpg curriculum
print off modules and organise my collection better
absolutely going to DM a game that isn't D&D. Hopefully Monster of the Week, Cairn, Mythic Bastionland, or Troika

Creativity:

finish my fic! I've been saying this every year for four years now! But this is the year! I swear!
post a zine
a writing retreat with a friend
actually finish and submit to a game jam
learn some proper graphic design
