Not in a fact a random photo of spinach
Got an email from some photo service and opened it up and thought, that's a very random photo of spinach.
Then actually read the email and turns out it's my random photo of spinach that however many years ago I got printed on a phone case. Which I had completely forgotten about.
It was in my garden in London. I had two plastic planters and grew spinach, obviously, chillis, herbs. I was sowing coriander and spilled the seeds so it grew all over the patio.
One resolution that garden gave me was that when I had my own house I wouldn't mess around trying to resurrect a basically dead lawn. Now I have my own house and spend a lot of time messing around trying to resurrect a basically dead lawn.
I think about our neighbours there. We left mere months before lockdown. We had good relationships but not good enough to stay in touch. I miss them and I hope they are okay. There are lots of things I miss about that house, that place, that time, London even. But it was a weird one also and there are zero regrets.
So, thank you random marketing email for the reminiscences.
