Re: How many is too many pages?

So I read Turbie's I Wonder How Many is Too Many When it Comes to Adding Pages which says

For some people, 9 pages (excluding home and blog (blog posts doesn't count)) seems like it's alot but for me, it seems perfect... for now.

I went and checked how many pages I have: thirty-eight excluding the blog and home. With several more in the draft stage. This will seem like a lot to some people and small fry to others. Which is a great thing. We can do whatever we want with our websites! They are our websites.

We're on Bearblog but there's lots of flexibility to have more or less any kind of site. I always wanted my site to be digital garden-ish, not just a blog. Through that lens I've got a long way to go still.

Turbie's pages are a really fun mix, from looking at the sitemap. There's a sandbox, updates - I love when sites log their updates! - a very smoothly organised and presented tags list, and a thoughts/status page, amongst others.

The 'for now' part of Turbie's post is super relatable because I too keep going a bit off on one and adding pages. I had a big splurge in September last year, then in May, and I'm gearing up for another.

I just like pages! I like being able to connect and collect my blog posts on a theme together, along with a bunch of other stuff. I like being able to add a sentence to a page without it being its own blog post. I like being able to play around and make silly things. I like that we can all do that.

So my answer to Turbie's question would be: you can never have too many pages.
